The Trouble with Harry (1955) - Hitchcock's cameo

Hitchcock's cameo in The Trouble with Harry (1955) occurs about 22 minutes into the film.

The director is wearing a long coat and is seen walking past the artist's stall.

During the promotional tour for the film, Hitchcock told some reporters that he had considered using his cameo to play the corpse of Harry:

The director says it is quite difficult to spot him in the new "Harry" movie, as he is about as unobtrusive as old unobtrusive himself can be. "They wanted me to play Harry, and it seemed like a charming Idea," he says. "But it is almost impossible to direct on your back."[1]
